We met at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.  After graduation in November of 2001 our plans included moving West (eventually to California), continuing our dating relationship, and developing our culinary skills by working under great chefs.  Only one of those things was really accomplished.  We both decided that we could not live without one another, so we did get married but it was in Colorado!  After a job "fell through" in Utah, we moved to Denver out of what we thought at the time was desperation.  We know now that it was God's plan for us all along.   

In 2004, a call to missions was placed on your lives and later to Japan specifically.  We feel we could do a lot of things with our lives and career, but only one satisfies.  And that is following God whole-heartedly in the plans HE has for us!
